About Us

About the University of Arizona Student Chapter of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (UAAEG).

We are an official student chapter of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists organization,which restarted in 2010 at the University of Arizona in the Mining and Geological Engineering Department.  Our fields clearly cover the environmental and engineering geology fields mentioned our name, but also include geological and geotechnical engineering, and hydrogeology.  Our club’s goals are to:

  1. Connect students and professionals in student run and professional run meetings, conferences and events.
  2. Bring professional and educational presentations related to environmental and engineering geology to students.
  3. Offer students environmental and engineering geology field trips and experiences.
  4. Conduct outreach for the environmental and engineering geology fields, AEG, the Mining and Geological Engineering Department and the College of Engineering.
  5. Provide community service related to environmental and engineering geology.
  6. Present environmental and sustainability learning opportunities to our students.
